Book nowHow does a TCA facial scrub work?
In the field of aesthetic plastic surgery, a TCA facial peel is the removal of the top layer of skin. We differentiate between a superficial peel with fruit acid, a medium-depth peel with trichloroacetic acid, or TCA for short, and a deep peel. This treatment is therefore also known as a fruit acid peel. Another option for facial peeling is the so-called TCA peeling. The fruit acid peel does not require anesthesia as the treatment is very gentle and kind to the skin. A chemical TCA facial peel also shows very good results in the long term, while the risk of subsequent scarring is minimized. The TCA facial peel is one of the most popular peels for rejuvenating the skin without surgery. During a facial peel, the top layer of skin is carefully removed to stimulate the cells to regenerate. Depending on the indication, we recommend a superficial or medium-deep peel. When preparing for the treatment, the skin area is first thoroughly cleansed for both facial peels. With a fruit acid peel, we then apply the high-dose substance to the skin area before neutralizing it and finally rinsing it off with water. For a facial peel with TCA, we first numb the surface of the affected skin area with a special cream. We then apply the TCA solution to the skin with a swab. After around two to three minutes, the skin first reacts with redness and then with a white discoloration. The TCA solution is then neutralized and the face is cooled.
