Book nowApplication of hyaluronic acid in the female genital area
The use of hyaluronic acid in women's intimate areas is a relatively new field in aesthetic medicine that focuses on improving women's well-being and the aesthetics of the female intimate zone. These treatments can pursue both functional and cosmetic goals and enhance a woman's sexual sensations.
- Labia augmentation (labia augmentation): Hyaluronic acid can be used to augment or tighten the labia majora (outer labia). There can be many reasons for wanting injections. Some women have always been dissatisfied with their external genitalia. Others, however, have noticed changes with age or after childbirth, leading them to want aesthetic improvement.
- G-spot injections: The G-spot, an erogenous zone in the vagina that can lead to more intense orgasms during sexual arousal, can be injected with hyaluronic acid to make the G-spot more prominent and sensitive. This treatment is therefore primarily aimed at women who want to increase their sexual sensitivity and experience more intense orgasms. Women who have difficulty achieving sexual satisfaction or whose sexual sensation has diminished can also benefit from this injection.
- Vaginal tightening: This treatment aims to tighten the vaginal wall (vaginal canal) and reduce the vaginal diameter, which can lead to increased sexual sensation for the woman and her partner. Vaginal canal tightening is therefore suitable for women who have lost tone and elasticity in the vaginal wall due to childbirth or the ageing process.
What are the general benefits of hyaluronic acid?
The advantages of using hyaluronic acid are far-reaching. Firstly, hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs and is produced naturally in the body. Its use therefore leads to very natural and aesthetically pleasing results. In addition, allergic reactions are relatively rare as the body is already familiar with the substance, which is why hyaluronic acid has a high safety profile. In contrast to surgical procedures, injections are a minimally invasive procedure. This means lower risks, less pain and a shorter recovery time. Another advantage is the immediate result following the injection and therefore the direct customizability of the treatment to specific wishes and needs. The quantity and type of substance can be individually adjusted. If the result is not as desired or an unsatisfactory treatment has been carried out externally, hyaluronic acid can also be reversibly dissolved with hylase or certain areas can be corrected. Otherwise, the hyaluronic acid degrades on its own over the course of 6-18 months. It should also be noted that the procedure is short, outpatient and can be combined with other treatments such as injections with botulinum toxin A or poly-L-lactic acid.
The injection procedure with hyaluronic acid
Before the injection, the skin is carefully cleaned and disinfected to minimize the risk of infection. If necessary or desired, a topical anesthetic cream is applied to reduce discomfort during the injection. However, some local anesthetic is usually added to the injection of hyaluronic acid to make the treatment more comfortable. During the injection, a fine needle is used to inject the hyaluronic acid into specific areas of the skin. The injection technique and depth vary depending on the treatment objective. During the treatment, we constantly check the appearance and adjust the injections accordingly to achieve a symmetrical and natural result. After hyaluronic acid injections, local cooling can be applied to reduce swelling. We will also provide you with specific instructions for the care and aftercare of the treated areas. A follow-up appointment is usually scheduled two weeks after treatment to assess the results and determine if additional corrections are required.
What are the risks and side effects of hyaluronic acid injections in the genital area?
When deciding on aesthetic and functional treatments in the genital area, such as labial augmentation, G-spot injections and vaginal canal narrowing, it is important to carefully consider the risks involved.
Labia augmentation, as with all invasive procedures, carries a basic risk of infection. One possible complication is asymmetry of the labia, especially if the hyaluronic acid is distributed unevenly. In rare cases, there may be an overreaction of the tissue or the formation of granulomas. Allergic reactions to the fillers used are also possible, although they are rare.
G-spot injections aim to increase sexual sensation, but also carry risks such as pain or hypersensitivity in the treated area, which can paradoxically impair the sexual experience. There is also a risk of infection due to the injection. It should be noted that the effect of hyaluronic acid is not permanent and the treatment may need to be repeated. There is also the possibility that the treatment may not bring the desired improvements in sexual sensation.
There is also a general risk of infection with vaginal canal narrowing. Overcorrection could lead to excessive narrowing, which can result in pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse. Tissue damage or scarring may also occur. As with other aesthetic procedures, there is also a risk that the treatment will not bring the expected improvements in the sexual experience.
